Internet eXchange point of the Oresund Region

Sydvestvej 100 up & running!

The IXOR switch at Sydvestvej 100 in Glostrup, Denmark is as of today open for connecting customers. We are now the very first IXP operating on both sides of the Öresund strait, making traffic exchange between Swedish and Danish ISP’s more available than ever before. A big goal has been reached!

Krossverksgatan 13 up & running!

We are very proud to announce that one of the EX4200’s donated by Juniper Networks is now up and running at Krossverksgatan 13 in Malmö. We are working hard to extend IXOR across Öresund, and the established presence at Krossverksgatan is a big step in the right direction. A big thanks to Phonera for providing us with physical hosting of the equipment.

An update of the information page is on its way. In the meantime, please contact us for detailed instructions on how to connect.

Welcome, Excellent Hosting!

Welcome, KeFF Networks!

IXOR is sponsored by…

Juniper Networks!

IXOR will receive two EX4200 switches equipped with 10GE modules from Juniper Networks, free of charge. This is fabolous news, and we are forever grateful! The switches will be used to improve and expand the IX. Thanks again, Juniper!

Today, IXOR got its IPv6 allocation from RIPE. This means that we will be able to provide IPv6 peering over the IX in a near future. For more information on how and why you should be a part of this, check out IPv6 Act Now.

A new IX is born!

The remainders of the regional Internet exchange point formerly known as Malm-IX has been transfered into a non-profit organization, and will from this day forward be operated under the name IXOR – the Internet eXchange point of the Oresund Region. The organization will aim to provide alternative peering posibilities to Swedish and Danish ISP’s operating in the Öresund region.

Rules, regulations, pricing and other details are to be decided within a very near future.
